Chronic Pain Brings Gifts Along With Its Inconveniences

For example, my delightful in-laws came to town and treated us to a weekend in Daytona Beach. I initially returned to my work as a freelance and contract writer because I couldn't physically continue with the job I had been doing. I can't lie, it was a change I was super excited about. Writing is my life.

But because I was free and on my own schedule, I was posting my latest film review on Friday morning with my feet in a hot tub and the waves as my soundtrack. I know it's not always easy, but if you're willing to go with the flow, chronic pain can bring you gifts you never would've had if you were still perfectly healthy.

But I still wish you healing. And hot tubs. (And in-laws as wonderful as mine.)
